New York Aug 28 – Sept 4 2007

I would like to compliment your company on a very well planned and executed trip to New York City. Your guide, Ursula Pfeffer was fun and energetic and very knowledgeable about the city. We enjoyed her company. The only disappointment in the entire program was the “Night Illumination” tour Sat, Sept. 1 for which we paid an additional $47. The local guide “Zoie” was shrill, giggly and brought her fiance along to “watch me at work”. The real problem was those of us who could not see out the front windows of the bus could not see the tall structures she was pointing out, as the roof of the bus blocked our vision. We drove around in the dark a lot, listening to her describe buildings and places we could not see. The view from the Top of the Rock was the saving feature of the evening. Other than this jaunt however, we were extremely pleased with our tour and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Dear Tyson -

I have been out of town since returning from the NAEOP cruise to Alaska and just haven’t had a minute to write but now that I have, I wanted to THANK YOU for a wonderful cruise and actually, a wonderful conference tour package.  I have heard so many great comments about you and Alkitours.  I couldn’t be more pleased!  People from all over the nation were pleased with the personal touches that you, Louis and Ursula provided for them.  As a conference chairman for a National Conference, I couldn’t be more pleased.  You were all EXTRA-ordinary!!!  Thank you so much!!!!

Peter and I would really like to be kept informed about your planned excursion to Greece.  That’s a place we have always wanted to visit and hope to go with you.  Please let us know the planned dates, etc. so we can make arrangements to join you.

Thanks again, Tyson, for a wonderful experience with Alki Tours!!  You’ll never know how much it means to know ‘my people’ were so well taken care of by the staff there.

Sincerely,

Kathy Lech

I attended the NAEOP conference in July in Seattle and just wanted to thank your company for the great tours. I took the Blake Island Tour and the tour to Victoria and both were fantastic, on time, well-planned, and we had great tour guides. I thoroughly enjoyed the tours and thank you for a wonderful activity during my leisure time.

Alaska Cruise July 22-29 2007

Posted in Alki Tours News

Hi All:

We just returned from a great cruise on the Norwegian Peal to Alaska! We had a lot of fun starting with our arrival in Juneau. We toured the Mendenhall Glacier – the world’s only “drive-up” glacier, and then went to the Gold Creek Salmon Bake. The next day in Skagway brought beautiful weather and a fun visit to this 1898 Gold Rush town. We had a summit tour, a sunny flight over Glacier Bay, and many people on the famous White Pass & Yukon Railroad. The next day we cruised the magnificent tidewater glaciers of Glacier Bay. Any cruise here is great as you have a National Park Service Ranger onboard for the day for commentary and presentations. Our next day was to the buzzing community of Ketchikan – lot’s of activity and Alki Tours arranged a fun city tour including a visit to see some wonderful native totems and clan house carvings. Our last port of call was an evening call to Victoria. It was Saturday night and perfectly timed for a visit to Butchart Gardens and their Saturday night fireworks. The ship was a lot of fun and had lots of specialty restaurants to choose from. I went Italian every night except one night at the Steakhouse. Both were great, but the Italian restaurant was like being back in Italy. All for now, see you on a train, plane, or bus soon! Tyson
